Kenneth Colstrup, 75, Lake Inguadona

Kenneth D. Colstrup, 75, of Lake Inguadona, passed away at his home on Thursday, Dec., 16, 2010, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Ken was born to Sophus and Ellenora (Johansen) Colstrup in Albert Lea, where he attended school and worked until his retirement on Lake Inguadona. He served four years in the U.S. Air Force.
Ken loved his family, friends, neighbors, fishing and lived his life-long dream of retiring on a lake in northern Minnesota.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Maxine (VanHorn) Colstrup; son, Scott Colstrup, of Remer; daughter, Julie (Terry) Stahl, of Albert Lea; three grandchildren: Andrea Colstrup, Christopher Stahl and Tyler Stahl; sister, Shirley Berg, of Scarville, Iowa; and two brothers: Earl (Rosemary) Colstrup and Dennis (Carol) Colstrup both of Albert Lea; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Albert (Bud) Colstrup, of Albert Lea; one brother-in-law, Harvey Berg; and one sister-in-law, Opal Colstrup.
Relatives and friends are invited to a celebration of his life on Tuesday, Dec. 28, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Ridgewood Golf Course in Longville.
Rowe Funeral Home and Crematory, Grand Rapids, are in charge of arrangements.
