Man arrested for burglary

A 46-year-old man was arrested Thursday afternoon after a child came home from school to find a person inside his home.

According to a news release from the Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office, a juvenile male, no age or address listed, had been dropped off by the school bus and walked into his house when he found the man.

The man, whose name has not been released, stated he was there to collect a drug debt from an unknown person, according to the news release.

Sheriff’s Office deputies found the man outside of the residence and arrested him.

He was arrested for burglary and brought to the Freeborn County jail.

The incident took place at about 3:15 p.m.

Crashes reported

Four vehicle collisions were reported in Albert Lea on Thursday. There were no injuries in any of the crashes. Five instances of vehicles being stuck in the snow were also reported.

Man arrested for DWI

Police cited Shane Galen Christensen for fourth-degree DWI after a traffic stop at 11:17 p.m. Thursday on the 100 block of Fenton Avenue, according to reports.

Woman arrested for illegal consumption, drinking and driving

Police arrested Ashley Lynn Myers for minor consumption and underage drinking and driving at 1:15 a.m. today near the intersection of Southeast Marshall Street and Prospect Avenue. Also arrested was Bo Alan Johnson on a warrant for driving after suspension in Mankato.

Man arrested for drug possession, paraphernalia

Police arrested Angel Antonio Gonzales for fifth-degree drug possession and paraphernalia at 11:26 p.m. Thursday. A juvenile was also cited for a small amount of marijuana.
