WELLS — United South Central’s Valerie Sahr and Kayla Stenzel each recorded doubles-doubles Tuesday for the Rebels girls’ basketball team in a 51-40 win over the Janesville-Waldorf-Pemberton Bulldogs in Wells.

Stenzel scored 14 points and grabbed 10 rebounds and Sahr scored 12 points with 10 rebounds as the Rebels (4-1, 2-0 Gopher) opened the second half on a 7-0 run en route to the win.

Katie Ovrebo scored 11 points with five assists and Danielle Koestler scored nine points and grabbed seven rebounds.

The Rebels play again at 7:15 p.m. Friday at New Richland-Hartland-Ellendale-Geneva (3-1, 2-0).
