Kaiser

Reuben was born Oct. 16, 1927, on the family farm, north of Wells, the only child of Charles and Ella (Wendt) Kaiser. He was the light of his parent’s life. Not one to be spoiled, he took hard work to heart. He kept the family farm in excellent operation until he retired and turned the farm over to the capable hands of his son. His hard work was only interrupted by two tours in the Army. Then on March 14, 1956, there was a happy interruption by marrying the love of his life, Patricia Perry. Fatherhood soon followed and he was the best father ever with three children: Cindy, Pam and Brad. With all his responsibilities, he still managed to complete his college degree in economics and political science.

Reuben was involved in countless church activities, including acting as layman to annual conference in the Methodist Church for years. He enjoyed baseball, politics, seed corn sales, traveling the globe and fishing. He enjoyed being on the Dunbar Township Board for numerous years. The American Legion, VFW and the Lions also kept him very busy.
