MINNETONKA — State agricultural officials confiscated hundreds of gallons of milk delivered to a house in Minnetonka this week. The action is the latest in an investigation and crackdown on unpasteurized milk.
The state has made repeated efforts to stop Michael and Roger Hartmann from selling raw milk in the Twin Cities area and other locations, but they’ve continued to deliver their product as they did Tuesday in Minnetonka when a search warrant was served.
The warrant said agricultural officials knew the home had served as a raw milk drop site in the past.
Michael Hartmann tells Minnesota Public Radio News that it’s his constitutional right to sell dairy products and that he has the support of his customers.
