Van Ryswyk scores 1,000 point in Wolverine win

Kalli Van Ryswyk scored her 1,000th point of her career on Thursday as the Glenville-Emmons Wolverines girls’ basketball team defeated Schaeffer Academy 65-46 Thursday in Glenville.
“We pretty much controlled the game,” Glenville-Emmons coach Lisa Ziebell said. “The first three minutes were close and then we jumped ahead a bit.”
Van Ryswyk led the Wolverines with a double-double of 24 points and 11 rebounds, while she earned her 1,000th point of her career with three and a half minutes left in the game.
The Wolverines made seven of 13 attempts from the three points line and also shot 37 percent from the field.
Glenville-Emmons is back in action Friday against Hope Lutheran.
