A memo to voters of the 5th Commissioner District: There is a very important election coming up for a new county commissioner. Lest you forget, you are hiring a surrogate to do business for you involving the spending of millions of tax dollars, plus making other critical decisions. It behooves you to carefully examine the qualifications of each candidate. In these lean economic times, choose the one with the best résumé of accomplishment, good business sense and a sound, conservative fiscal policy. Avoid the “snow job” or “wanna-be” for the sake of all of us in Freeborn County. Choose well.
