Did police play tricks on a senior?

We are writing on behalf of the 70-year-old who was given a ticket for selling cigs to a minor. Knowing this lady for many years, we know she would never do this on purpose. There are so many questions about this.
1. Is it legal to hire a minor to do an illegal buy?
2. Why didn’t the minor come back in the store with the policeman? So she could have known if she had actually sold him the cigs.
3. On camera it shows on her shift that she only sold one package of Marlboro and that was to a blond-haired young man. But the license she was shown by the policeman was a black-haired man?
The officer asked her three times if she sold to this driver’s license and she said, no, she did not remember. He kept asking her, trying to get her to admit it. She would not admit to something that she did not do. It looks like two different men.
She does wear glasses and does have some problems with small print sometimes as anyone that age would. We find it so sad that our city has come to this. A senior citizen, working for minimum wages, being targeted.
We are suggesting that anyone who would want to support this lady, come to the court on Jan 24 at Good Sam. We will be there. Thanks for listening to us.
