OSAGE, Iowa–The Lake Mills-Northwood-Kensett Ducks wrestling took to the road on Thursday night as they traveled to Osage to take on the Central Springs Panthers and the Osage Green Devils.

The triangular provided mixed results as the Ducks defeated Central Springs 51-18, but lost to the Green Devils 52-19.

“We did not wrestle very well tonight, especially in the bottom position,” LM-NK coach Alex Brandenburg. “The kids need to take some chances and put two or three moves together to get out. We really need to get better from the down position if we are going to compete with the top of the line programs like Osage.”

Against Central Springs, the Ducks got pins from Calvin Beal, Spencer Capitani and Tristan Boehm to help the Ducks get past the Panthers.

Against Osage, Lake Mills-Northwood-Kensett got wins from Calvin Beal, Spencer Capitani, Luke Hanke and Zach Ringham but the Green Devils defeated the Ducks 52-19.

The 1-1 record as the Osage Triangular puts the Ducks dual record at 15-3 on the season.

The Lake Mills-Northwood-Kensett wrestling team is back in action on Saturday as they host the Lake Mills-Northwood-Kensett dual tournament.
