Eugene “Dutch” Drescher, 72, of Bloomington, passed away surrounded by family on Jan. 9, 2011.

He was born July 7, 1938, in Albert Lea, graduating from Albert Lea High School in 1955. He served in the U.S Air Force from 1956-1960. Dutch was a 35 year employee for Northwest Airlines. Dutch was a long time active member of IAM.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Fredrick and Vera, and an infant son.

He is survived by his wife, Karen Drescher; daughter, Conni (Boyd Amundson) Drescher; sons: Chris Drescher; Dan (Sally) Drescher and their daughter, Natalie; special friend and companion, Karin McComb; aunt, Lucille Anderson and many cousins and friends.

His memorial service is at 3 p.m. Saturday at Gill Brothers Funeral Chapel, 9947 So. Lyndale Ave., Bloomington, with visitation two hours prior to service only.
