Hero digs people out of the snow

There are angels in Albert Lea!
The night of the big blizzard a few weeks ago, I left work at 9 p.m. and got horribly stuck. Not once, not twice, not even THREE times, but four!
The first time I got stuck a very nice man in a white truck pulled my car out — and he told me he would stick with me till I made it all the way home. Well, he braved the storm and pulled my car out three times. The fourth time I got stuck I saw how futile it would be to keep trying, so at that point he gave me a ride to my destination. I tried to give him some cash, but he would not take it. No way!
I asked why he was out helping strangers. His answer was, “I am out helping people and hoping that these people will go and help other people somehow someday.” I practically had to beg to get his name. He did not want to tell me. He wanted no recognition for his awesome deeds. He finally relented and his name is Cory Alfson.
I wanted to acknowledge him somehow and send him a Christmas card. So, Mr. Cory Alfson, you wanted no thanks. But many, many thanks to you! God bless you for being my hero in the white truck that night! Kudos to Cory Alfson! Also thanks to Quin M. for helping me get my car shoveled out and home the next morning! And thanks to Jim W. for the rides to work on bad weather days that have happened since that night, as I have become quite nervous about winter driving these days!
