Knights edge Grand Meadow

ALDEN — The Alden-Conger Knights boys’ basketball team led 26-25 at halftime Tuesday against Grand Meadow (1-7, 1-6 Section 1A) and kept their composure down the stretch, making clutch free throws en route to a 62-57 win.

The Knights (4-4, 3-2) made 14-of-26 free throw attempts for the game, but made most of them when they mattered to hang on and win a back and forth game in which each team led by as many as six points.

Tyler Adix led all scorers with 28 points and grabbed a game-high 15 rebounds.

Michael Reyerson scored 22 points and had 12 rebounds.

The Knights play again at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday against Truman (6-4, 1-2 Valley) in Alden.
