Knights run past Panthers

KENYON- Matt Nafe scored 19 points for the Panthers, but it wasn’t enough as the Kenyon-Wanamingo Knights boys’ basketball team defeated the New Richland-Hartland-Ellendale-Genva Panthers 71-46 Monday in Kenyon.
“We had 12 first half turnovers,”NRHEG coach Pat Churchill said. “Kenyon took advantage of our mistakes and made us pay on the offensive end.”
The Knights mounted a 34-7 lead in the first half and ended up with a 34-11 lead at halftime over NRHEG.
Along with Nafe, Matt Carlson had nine points for NRHEG, while Evan Ferber had seven points.
Brady Anifinson led Kenyon-Wanamingo with 17 points.
The Panthers are back in action on Tuesday as they host Medford.
