LuVae Anderson, 94, Albert Lea

Memorial services for LuVae A. Anderson, of Albert Lea, will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the First Presbyterian Church in Albert Lea. The Rev. Dwight Netzer will officiate. Interment will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery, Wells, prior to the service at the church. Visitation will be held 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday evening at the Bonnerup Funeral Service Chapel and one hour prior to the service at the church.

LuVae died Friday, Dec. 31, 2010, at St. John’s Lutheran Home in Albert Lea. She was 94 years of age.

LuVae was born April 12, 1916, daughter of Adelbert and Julia (Swenson) Kelley, in Albert Lea. She was a graduate of Albert Lea High School. On Oct. 30, 1938, she was united in marriage to Lionel Anderson at the First Presbyterian Church in Albert Lea. LuVae was a lifelong resident of Albert Lea except for a ten year period when she lived in Dubuque, Iowa. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and active in the church circle. She was the oldest living member of the church at the time of her death.

LuVae was a homemaker and loved gardening, sewing and cooking. She enjoyed traveling and camping with her family and spending time with the grandchildren. Together they would spend their winters in Arizona.

LuVae is survived by her children Larry and his wife Judy Anderson of Chanhassen and their children Debra (Aaron) Krasnow and Patricia Anderson, Lory Wold and her children Kelly (Dan) Smith and Jeffrey R. Wold. There are four great-grandchildren: Katelyn and Ashley Smith, Lilja and Evon Krasnow. One sister survives, Julia Jane Taylor, of Austin.

LuVae was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lionel, in 2004; son-in-law, Dennis Wold; sister, Serita Schneider; and brother, John Kelly.

Memorials are preferred in lieu of flowers.
