Minors busted

Albert Lea police responded to a report of underage drinking at 2:55 a.m. Sunday at 930 S. Broadway Ave. According to the police report, about 15 people were at the residence and some were fighting.

Dylan Anthony Villerreal was arrested on local warrants. Demi Raelynn Trevino was cited with underage consumption and running from officers. Desiree Lyn Talamantes was cited for violating the social host ordinance and public nuisance. Christopher Renteria was cited for minor consumption and arrested on a probation violation.

Benjamin Aberto Padilla Jr. and Royce Andrew Hagen were cited for underage consumption. Adrial Benjiman Mendez and Courtney Ann Poplow were cited for underage consumption. A juvenile male, 17 years of age, was cited for driving under revocation, no proof of insurance and underage consumption while operating. A 17-year-old juvenile male was cited for underage consumption.

Traffic crashes

Freeborn County sheriff’s deputies responded to a two vehicle traffic crash at 11:32 a.m. Friday along County Road 28 north of Hollandale. No injuries were reported.

Albert Lea police responded to a two vehicle traffic crash at 9:53 a.m. Saturday at the intersection of West Clark Street and North First Avenue. A Ford Taurus was traveling east on Clark Street and struck a Chevrolet heading southbound on First Avenue. No injuries were reported.

Arrests made for drunken driving

Cory Thomas Sherman was arrested by Freeborn County sheriff’s deputies at 6:22 a.m. Saturday after Sherman’s truck was discovered in the ditch along County Road 31, about one-half mile west of 760th Avenue. The vehicle was towed.

Albert Lea police arrested Amot Cham Othow at 1:59 a.m. Sunday for drunken driving at the intersection of East Main Street and Prospect Avenue. Othow was cited for fourth-degree driving while intoxicated and released. The vehicle was towed.

Natalie Lynn Hewitt was cited for fourth-degree driving while intoxicated and released by Albert Lea police during a traffic stop at 1:29 a.m. Monday at Eberhart Street and Garfield Avenue.

Hit and runs reported

A hit and run crash was reported to Albert Lea police at 10:28 a.m. Saturday in the parking lot of Nelson’s Food. A vehicle was reportedly hit by a white SUV. A report was filed.

Police responded to a hit and run crash at 8:26 a.m. Sunday at 1322 Dunham St. A Nissan Centra was reportedly parked on the street when it was hit. a report was filed.

Theft reported

A theft was reported at 260th Street in Austin at 5:09 p.m. Saturday. According to a Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office report, a bank account had been cleaned out. A report was filed.
