NEW RICHLAND– Matt Carlson scored 20 points as the New Richland-Hartland-Ellendale-Geneva Panthers boys’ basketball team defeated the Randolph Rockets 69-46 Thursday in New Richland.

Along with Carlson, Matt Nafe scored 14 points, while Hunter Eustice and Evan Ferber both recorded 11 points.

“The second half we picked up the defensive intensity,” NRHEG coach Pat Churchill said. “We jumped out with a 12-2 run that put the lead at 20 points and it stayed their the rest of the game.

The Panthers are in action again on Monday as they travel to St. Clair.
