Revisit ‘Napoleon’ with the folks

It’s been some time since “Napoleon Dynamite” came out on DVD for purchase at home. It seems that a lot of young adults, teens and middle-aged folks are hip to this comedy that is quickly becoming categorized as a classic, yet a lot baby boomers have not seen the film.

At a family gathering during the New Year’s weekend, we took the time to watch it with our folks, who soon came to realize just what they had been missing — a great movie with memorable lines. Like these:

“Napoleon, give me some of your tots.”

“It took me like three hours to finish the shading on your upper lip. It’s probably the best drawing I’ve ever done.”

“Grandma took a little spill at the sand dunes today. Broke her coccyx.”

“Pedro offers you his protection.”

“Well, things are getting pretty serious right now. I mean, we chat online for, like, two hours every day so I guess you could say things are gettin’ pretty serious.”

“You got like three feet of air that time.”
