Rebels double up Cardinals 60-30

WELLS — The United South Central girls’ basketball team outscored the Bethlehem Academy Cardinals 34-11 in the second half Tuesday en route to a 60-30 win in Wells.
Val Sahr scored nine points with 14 rebounds and six assists and Kayla Stenzel had a team-high 14 points for the Rebels (10-5, 7-1 Gopher), who have limited opponents to 29.2 points per game over their last five games.
Rebels head coach Stu Hendrickson was pleased with the team’s bench, who contributed 23 points and 15 rebounds after a strong showing Saturday at the Target Center.
After being outrebounded in the first half, the Rebels outrebounded the Cardinals (7-7, 5-3) by 15 in the second half and finished with a 43-29 advantage.
Kristy Overbo had 12 points for the Rebels who play again at 7:30 p.m. Friday at Alden-Conger.
