Six vocal students from the Albert Lea High School concert choir were selected to participate in the annual Dorian Vocal Festival held at Luther College Jan. 8, 9 and 10. Holly Ryks, Tim Stoneking and Mollie Hernandez were chosen for the Select Chamber Choir of 80 voices. They were joined by Zach Wilke, Brooke Thompson and Logan Tufte and all sang in the mass choir of more than 1,200 students from seven states. They rehearsed under the direction of Allen Hightower, Sandra Peter and Tim Peter and presented a fabulous concert on Jan. 24. Each ALHS student also sang a solo for vocal teachers and received helpful comments on their vocal technique and song interpretation.
