Teenagers improving after I-35 rollover

The conditions of the two teenagers who were injured Monday in a rollover on Interstate 35, south of the Glenville exit, have improved, according to hospital spokeswomen in both Albert Lea and Rochester.
According to Patti Hareid, Albert Lea Medical Center spokeswoman, Alexander S. Joy, 18, of Stillwater was admitted to ALMC and is in good condition.
Joy was reportedly driving a white 1995 Toyota Land Cruiser Monday morning when he lost control of the vehicle. The vehicle rolled and landed upright, throwing Joy from the vehicle.
Passenger Jenna M. Albert, 18, of Iowa, is listed in fair condition, according to a Mayo Clinic spokeswoman.
First they hit, then they run
Two hit-and-run crashes were reported in Albert Lea on Tuesday.
The first, at 201 Ridge Road, was reported at 11:12 a.m. This might have reportedly taken place a week prior. The second, near the intersection of South Broadway Avenue and East Front Street, was reported at 3:20 p.m. Tuesday.
Stolen lottery tickets reported in A.L.
The Waseca County Sheriff’s Office reported to police Tuesday afternoon that some stolen lottery tickets had been redeemed at various places in Albert Lea, including Nelson’s Market Place. No other information was available as of press time.
