Bob Danner from Alliant Energy presented a $3,000 Community Grant check to Dennis Dieser of the Albert Lea Family Y. The money received from Alliant Energy will go to the third grade level sponsorship for the Membership Program. This program provides a sponsorship to all third-graders in Freeborn County at no cost. By involving the youth at an early age makes families feel more comfortable seeking financial assistance for membership as students get older.
