After reading Al Batt’s love letter to Minnesota, as a snowbird vacationing in Arizona, I feel compelled to send a love letter to Al.

I am always amazed at the creativity he generates year after year. He is our local Mark Twain,

Will Rogers, Garrison Keillor. His play on words, turn of a phrase and unique word pictures continue to amuse me.

I will share his latest column with my writing club here at Camp Retirement as a perfect example of fresh and refreshing prose. Hats off to Al Batt!
