Funeral services for Delight Agnes Redman, age 79, of Freeborn will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2011, at Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Cherie Daniel will officiate. Interment will be at Freeborn Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 22, 2011 at Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service.

Delight died Friday, Feb. 18, 2011, at Good Samaritan Society.
Delight Agnes Redman was born July 4, 1931, to Edward and Agnes (Christiansen) Hedensten in Albert Lea. Delight attended District 16 Country School and graduated from Freeborn High School in 1949. Delight worked as a secretary for the Navy Department in Washington D.C. On April 10, 1955, she was united in marriage to Keith Redman in Freeborn. She was a lifetime member of Freeborn Congregational UCC, TOPS, Women’s Fellowship and Circle at church, Freeborn Red Hats, American Legion Auxiliary, Extension Group (Mothers Night Out) and many card clubs. Delight enjoyed playing cards, sewing, stamping, quilting, ceramic and wood painting and making greeting cards. Most of all Delight enjoyed spending time with her family and spoiling her grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband, Keith; children, LeAnn (Brian) Eastman, Kevin Redman, Douglas (Barb) Redman, and Karen Redman; grandchildren, Clint (Jessica) Eastman, Cari Eastman, Ashley (Nick) Danner, Kraig (Casey) Redman, Mark Redman, Crystal Redman, Amanda Redman, Eric Redman; great grandchildren, Tristan and JT Passe, Myla Eastman and Kaylin Delight Danner; sisters, Colleen (Jake) Stenzel and Vernell (Berdell) Miller; brother-in-law, Clifford (Delores) Redman; and many nieces nephews and cousins.
Delight was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Roger (Marilyn) Hendensten; and daughter-in-law, Elizabeth Redman.
