Doris Herth, 86, Albert Lea

Memorial services for Doris B. Herth, of Albert Lea, will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 22, 2011, at the First Lutheran Church Chapel, Albert Lea. The Rev. Dan Baker will officiate. Interment will be in Graceland Cemetery later in the spring. Doris died on Wednesday, Feb. 16, 2011, at St. John’s Lutheran Home. She was 86.
She was born on May 16, 1924, in Hayfield to Einar and Dena (Bakken) Jensen. Doris married Bert Herth on Oct. 4, 1942. They farmed in Silver Lake Township for 11 years and then moved to Albert Lea in 1958. They were married 56 years up until Bert’s death. She was a member of the First Lutheran Church, and was a homemaker.
She is survived by a brother Ing Jensen, of Mankato, sister Stella Kopsing of Albert Lea, nieces: Lonnie and her husband Armando Bennett of St. Paul, Hollie and her husband Luke Marcks, Lance Marcks and Derek and Dakota Clark of Albert Lea, Darlene Johnson of Prior Lake, Leonard and Kaye Herth of Mankato, Beverly and Larry Wolff of St. Ansgar, Iowa, Lonna and Gene Lunning of Huntsville, Ala., and several other nieces and nephews, and 10 Godchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Bert on April 3, 1998, brothers Edwin and Orden Jensen and sister Gladys Hallum.
