The New Richland-Hartland-Ellendale-Geneva and United South Central girls’ basketball teams could meet in two weeks for a rubber game in New Richland.

The NRHEG Panthers are seeded first in the Section 2AA south bracket, while the USC Rebels are seeded fourth. If each team wins, they will play each other in New Richland on March 4.

The Panthers beat the Rebels 72-59 on Dec. 17 in New Richland, while the Rebels nipped the Panthers 65-56 in overtime during the second meeting in Wells on Jan. 27.

The Section 2AA tournament begins at 7 p.m. on March 1. The Panthers host No. 8 Triton and the Rebels host No. 5 Kasson-Mantorville.
