The New Richland-Hartland-Ellendale-Geneva boys’ basketball team avenged an early season loss to the Blooming Prairie Blossoms Tuesday and have now won six of their last seven games.
The Panthers (9-11, 6-5 Gopher) jumped out to a 32-17 halftime lead and beat the Blossoms (4-13, 2-8) 59-33 in New Richland.
The Panthers and Blossoms are two Gopher Conference teams moving in different directions as Blooming Prairie has now lost nine of their last 11 games and three in a row.
The Panthers won with balanced scoring as Matt Carlson was the only player in double digits with 10 points. Hunter Eustice, Evan Ferber and Sam Lundberg each chipped in eight points.
“We are playing good team basketball,” Panthers head coach Pat Churchill said.
The Panthers play again at 7:30 p.m. Friday against Janesville-Waldorf-Pemberton at home.
