Rudy Sanchez Jr., 41, passed away peacefully in his home on Thursday, Feb. 10, 2011, after battling cancer. He was born July 19, 1969, to Rodolfo and Yolanda (Tavares) Sanchez.

Rudy’s hobbies included fishing, camping, spending time with his friends and family, mechanical work and lending a helping hand whenever he could.

He is survived by his wife, Angie (Gulbertson); children: Rudy, 12, and Selena, 10; parents: Rodolfo and Yolanda; siblings: Robert (Eunice) Sanchez, Omar Sanchez, Juanita (Freddy) Sanchez, Brenda Sanchez and Diana (Florencio) Sanchez; in-laws: Eddie and Marlene Boerner; several neices, nephews and many close friends.

He is preceded in death by his aunts: Petra and Bertha, grandparents: Virginia and Manuel; uncles: Raul and Antonio; and niece, Yanick.

A memorial service will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday at Zion Lutheran Church, Rake, Iowa.
