Albert Lea Medical Center will award four $750 scholarships to graduating high school seniors in its service area who are interested in pursuing an education in health care.

ALMC will also award one $750 June Wells Scholarship to a graduating high school senior in its service area who will be pursuing an education in communications, journalism or photojournalism.

All scholarships are provided on the basis of leadership, commitment, character and academic ability. Complete scholarship information and applications are available at www.almedcenter.org under “Online Services” or from counselors in area high schools.

Applications should be returned to Kathy Leidal, Community Relations, Albert Lea Medical Center, 404 W. Fountain St., Albert Lea, MN 56007 by March 14, 2011.

Applications will be reviewed by an ALMC Scholarship Committee, which will select finalists for interviews. Those receiving scholarships will be notified in late April.
