Alden-Conger schools are closed today.

Lake Mills, Iowa, schools are closed today and will have no evening activities.

Northwood-Kensett, Iowa, schools are closed today.

Glenville-Emmons schools are closed today.

New Richland-Hartland-Ellendale-Geneva schools are two hours late.

Austin schools are closed, and many schools in Iowa are closing Tuesday.

As of Tuesday morning the area was in a winter weather advisory, according to the National Weather Service. Blowing snow and wind chills will affect the area with wind chills between 8 and 13 degrees below zero.
