Only in the most northern of states do people dare ice fish near open water. The man on the left is taking the hook out of a fish he caught, so they indeed are biting. Still, for some, it is a scary sight to see. Just remember, the fishermen know the ice well, for we cannot recall the last time in Albert Lea a fisherman went through. It’s the snowmobilers who take risks. The season for ice fun is almost over. Minnesota law requires all structures off the ice by March 1.
