High school students from the area are attending a science conference hosted by Mayo Clinic today. About 230 students were asked to attend the 13th biennial Celebration of Research, a daylong gathering for students interested in learning about careers in science. The districts included Albert Lea, United South Central, Blooming Prairie, Winona, Owatonna and Rochester.

This year’s theme “Mission: Possible” pertains to understanding the human genome.
