The Albert Lea/Freeborn County Chamber of Commerce Agriculture Committee is hosting its sixth annual agriculture luncheon at noon on March 15 at the Fair Lane Building in the Freeborn County Fairgrounds.

The featured speaker of the buffet-style luncheon will be Dave Frederickson, commissioner of the Minnesota Department of Agriculture.

Frederickson was appointed to the position of commissioner by Governor Mark Dayton in January 2011.

Everyone is invited to attend the event, which will honor the 2011 Farm Family of the Year and celebrate past recipients of the award.
