Dr. David K. Simpson, 70, of Albert Lea, died Saturday, Feb. 26, 2011, at his home. A celebration of life will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 9, 2011, at the First Presbyterian Church in Albert Lea. Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Home is assisting the family.

Omer J. Folven, 91, of Albert Lea, died Tuesday, March 1, 2011, at Thorne Crest Retirement Center, Albert Lea. Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at First Lutheran Church, Albert Lea, with visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at Bonnerup Funeral Service, Albert Lea, and one hour before the service at the church.

Donavon Johnson

Donavon B. Johnson, 53, of Frost, died Saturday, Feb. 26, 2011, after sustaining injuries in an auto accident. Funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Bethany Lutheran Church, rural Frost. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Bruss-Heitner Funeral Home in Bricelyn and will continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the family or to the donor’s choice. Bruss-Heitner Funeral Home in Bricelyn in assisting the family with arrangements.

Gerald Possin

Gerald J. “Bud” Possin, 79, of Waseca, died on Sunday, Feb. 27, 2011, at the Owatonna Hospital in Owatonna.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday at 11 a.m. at the LeSueur River Lutheran Church in rural New Richland. Interment will be in the church Cemetery. The Possin family will greet friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at McRaith Funeral Home & Crematory in Waseca, and will continue on Thursday morning for one hour prior to services, at church.
