Hy-Vee supports Humane Society

Christa DeBouer-Stieler, center, president/director of the Humane Society of Freeborn County, and Tolli Gossett, right, Humane Society of Freeborn County event coordinator for the Pet Parade, received a check from Steve Shahan, left, manager of Hy-Vee, for $622. The total amount raised by selling raffle tickets, donations, bones and pet picture buttons was $2,235. The winning raffle tickets for one year of free cat or dog food were Angie Salthe, of Clarks Grove, and Janet Drangstveit, of Albert Lea. The winners of $25 gift cards were awarded to April Symes and her sheltie for Best Groomed, Brittany Bickham and her black lab puppy for Cutest and Steve Sigurdson and his golden retriever for Best Behaved. -- Submitted photo
