Local artist exhibiting in Platte River Art Show

Rory Mattson, of Albert Lea, is one of 26 artists to exhibit at the Platte River Art Show. The show will be held in the Peter Kiewit Lodge at Eugene T. Mahoney State Park at 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday, April 2, and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Sunday, April 3.
The Platte River Art Show is a celebration of fine art featuring artists from the Midwest including Nebraska, Iowa, Missouri, Kansas and South Dakota. Art forms include paintings in a variety of mediums and subject matter including sculpture, woodcarving, nature and wildlife photography, rustic metal sculpture and jewelry carved gourds.
Artists participating in the show have been given a spot in which to display and sell their work as a result of ther artistic talent and accomplishments. Participating artists have received a special invitation based on their accomplishmens on a state or national level, or have been juried into the show by a selection committee.
