Here are highlights in history for March 2, gleaned from the files of the Albert Lea Tribune:
1991 — A notice in the Tribune said membership in the Naeve Health Care Association only cost $5 a year.
1981 — The Albert Lea High School wrestling team won the Region 1AA championship over Faribault High School with a score of 33-15.
1951 — Blizzard conditions resulted in about a hundred vehicles being stranded on U.S. Highway 16 east of Albert Lea and U.S. Highway 65 north of Clarks Grove.
