• Students who have taken or are taking any advanced placement classes at Albert Lea High School, including AP Biology, AP Government, AP European History and AP Calculus A and B, are eligible to register for the AP exam. Detailed information about the exams are available in the office and are posted on the ALHS guidance department website. Students must register and pay for the exam, which is $37 per exam or free for students who qualify for free or reduced lunch. The sign-up deadline is 3:30 p.m. March 24, and students can sign up in the main office with Kim Danner.

• Juniors at ALHS who are planning to take the ACT test in April or June have the opportunity to sign up and use the ACT test preparation program. Included in the program are practice tests with real ACT test questions, practice essays for the new optional ACT writing test with real-time scoring, comprehensive content review for each of the ACT’s four required tests (English, math, reading and science), diagnostic test and personalized study path. Commitment to the program is important. For more information and to register contact Kim Danner by calling 379-5360 or e-mailing kdanner@albertlea.k12.mn.us.

• For seniors: all scholarship information is available on the Albert Lea High School guidance website and in the guidance office. All scholarship applications are due at 3:30 p.m. on March 29 unless the individual scholarship has a different deadline. The senior scholarship award program is scheduled for 7 p.m. on May 18 in the ALHS auditorium. Contact Kim Danner at the high school with questions.
