The No. 3 doubles team of Aaron Woitas and Evan Templeman picked up the lone for the Albert Lea Tigers boys’ tennis team Tuesday in a 6-1 loss at Waseca.

Woitas and Templeman defeated Waseca’s (1-1, 0-0 South Central) Ryan VonEnde and Michael Butterfield 6-3, 6-3.

Tigers (0-2, 0-0 Big Nine) coach Wayne Prudoehl said it was Woitas and Templeman’s first varsity win and that hopefully there are more to come.

The Tigers play again at 4:30 p.m. Thursday against Rochester Century (0-0, 0-0) at Albert Lea High School.
