The Minnesota Department of Transportation announced its 2011 road construction plans this week, begging the annual local question, “What about 65 and 69?”

To the delight of local motorists, MnDOT plans to smooth Highway 65 and Highway 69 in 2013.

Highway 69 will be resurfaced from the Iowa border to Highway 13, at an estimated cost of $3.9 million.

Highway 65 will be resurfaced from the Iowa border to Interstate 35, at an estimated cost of $2.6 million.
