Commencement ceremonies are this week

Albert Lea’s senior class will graduate during commencement ceremonies at 7:30 p.m. in the Albert Lea High School gym. United South Central High School in Wells will hold commencement at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at the school. Alden-Conger School will hold commencement at 7 p.m. Friday at the school.

Guard departure ceremony Tuesday

Soldiers with the Albert Lea unit of the Minnesota National Guard will deploy after a departure ceremony at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Albert Lea Armory.

USC golf teams to compete in section tournaments

The United South Central boys’ and girls’ golf teams compete Thursday in the four-team Section 2A finals at North Links Golf Course in North Mankato. The winners advance to the state tournament.

Car cruise and show on Saturday

A car cruise and show will be held in the North Broadway Avenue parking lot from 4 to 10 p.m. Saturday. There will be food vendors for the social gathering.

Road show event coming to Albert Lea

Albert Lea’s Titan Machinery will host the New Holland Super Boom Road Show from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the Freeborn County Fairgrounds. The event includes equipment displays and demos, a skid steer challenge, family entertainment and food vendors.
