OAKDALE — A black bear wandering St. Paul and the east metro suburbs apparently searching for food the past couple of days has been shot dead by DNR officers.
The bear was first spotted in St. Paul three times on Thursday night. Police officers who responded to the first sighting found the bear behind a McDonald’s restaurant.
Officers from the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources shot the bear Friday morning.
