Salvation army to participate in Summer Food Service Program

The Salvation Army is participating in the Summer Food Service Program through the Minnesota Department of Education Food and Nutrition Service. Free breakfast and lunch meals will be provided to all eligible children.

An eligible child for the closed enrolled site at the Salvation Army facility needs to be enrolled in the Salvation Army Summer Day Camp program. An eligible child for the open site is any child ages 5 to 18 years of age living in Freeborn County. Acceptance and participation requirements for the program and all activities are the same for all regardless of race, color, national origin, gender, age or disability. There will be no discrimination in the course of the meal service.

Meals for the closed enrolled site will be provided at The Salvation Army, 302 Court St., Albert Lea from Monday, June 6 through Friday, Sept. 2. Breakfast is served Monday through Friday from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m. and lunch is served from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Meals for the open enrolled site will be provided at Youth For Christ – The Rock, 116 W. Clark St., Albert Lea, from Monday, June 6 through Friday, Sept. 2. Lunch is served from noon to 2 p.m.
