Two injured in Clarks Grove

Two men received minor injuries after a collision at 4:21 p.m. Wednesday near the intersection of Main and Commercial streets in Clarks Grove.

According to Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office detective Corey Farris, one vehicle reportedly ran a stop sign and T-boned another vehicle.

The drivers were Benjamin Edwin Fryer and Daniel Lynn Davis. As of press time today, it was unclear which driver ran the stop sign.

Man injured near Hollandale

James Schumacher, 29, of Hollandale was transported to Albert Lea Medical Center after his tractor reportedly went into a drainage ditch at 6:08 p.m. Wednesday one mile north of Hollandale.

No other information was available as of press time.

Semi fire reported

A semi was reported on fire at 5:02 a.m. today at the Interstate 90 Oakland rest area. According to the Sheriff’s Office, the area around the brakes of the semi got hot and started on fire. Hayward Fire Department responded to the scene.

Window broken

An office window at 123 S. Ermina Ave. was reported broken out on Wednesday, according to police.

Vehicle damaged

An automobile at 1210 W. Fountain St. was reported shot at with a BB gun at 7:01 p.m. Wednesday, reports stated.

Damage reported to semi

Damage was reported to a semitrailer parked at Trail’s Travel Center, 820 Happy Trails Lane, at 4:53 a.m. today. The damage reportedly happened sometime overnight, according to reports.
