2 people injured in crash Saturday

Two people were injured Saturday afternoon after a vehicle rolled over three miles east of Albert Lea.
According to a Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office news release, Robert Gordon Bock, 63, of Glenville was reportedly driving east on Freeborn County Road 19 in a 1999 Cadillac when he missed a curve and went into the south ditch, rolling once.
The crash was reported to authorities at about 3:25 p.m.
Bock was transported by Mayo One helicopter to St. Marys Hospital in Rochester.
Bock’s condition was unavailable as of Monday morning.
Bock’s passenger, Casper Leland Kycek, 79, of rural Hayward, was transported by ambulance to Mayo Clinic Health System in Albert Lea.
The extent of Kycek’s injuries were unknown as of press time.
When authorities arrived at the scene of the crash, Kycek was found outside the vehicle.
It is unknown if Kycek was wearing his seat belt or how he ended up outside the vehicle.
Bock was wearing his seat belt at the time of the crash.
The crash remains under investigation by the Sheriff’s Office.
Also assisting at the crash scene Saturday were the Albert Lea Police Department, the Albert Lea Fire Department and the Albert Lea Township Fire Department.
