A.L. is happy to host Roundup

It’s been a thrill this week for the Albert Lea community to host the National Red Power Roundup at the Freeborn County Fairgrounds.
It’s not every day that 20,000 to 30,000 people from outside our little city come to the community for a week at a time.
We hope those people who are visiting are enjoying their stay and have been taking part in some of the amenities Albert Lea has to offer.
Whether it’s the beautiful lakes, parks, recreational opportunities, shopping or dining opportunities, this city has a lot to offer.
There are walking and bike trails, more than 40 city parks and even a beautiful state park in the area. There’s numerous opportunities for fishing, canoeing, boating and biking, to name a few of the outdoor attractions.
Albert Lea also has several unique businesses in our historic downtown, including antique stores, and there’s the Freeborn County Historical Museum right next to the fairgrounds with exhibits about musician Eddie Cochran and TV star Marion Ross.
If you have not taken the time to enjoy the charm of our city, don’t worry, you can still do so.
The community is excited to see you.
Thank you for visiting Albert Lea, and we hope you have a memorable stay.
