Dean Raymond Schultheis, 84, of Sioux Falls, S.D., died Tuesday, June 14, 2011, at Sanford Hospital. A family directed memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, 2800 E. 57th St., Sioux Falls, S.D.

Dean greatly enjoyed spending time with all of his grandchildren.

Grateful for having shared his life are his wife, Elsie Schultheis, of Sioux Falls, S.D.; his son, Steven Schultheis, of Albuquerque, N.M.; his four grandchildren: Travis (Lisa) Quam, of Albert Lea, Matthew (Mariebell) Schultheis, of California, Ben Schultheis, of Sioux Falls, S.D., Ashley Schultheis and Keith Hill, of Albert Lea; six great-grandchildren; his sister, Darlene (DeVerne) Johnson, of Lyle; his brother, Donald Schultheis, of Albert Lea; and many nieces and nephews.

Dean was preceded in death by his parents, Dennis and Gertrude (Merkel) Schultheis and two sons: Roger Schultheis and Gary Schultheis.
