Albert Lea, also known as “The Land Between the Lakes,” is nestled between Fountain and Albert Lea lakes, providing year-round activities. Enjoy our breathtaking wildlife and beauty along the shores of our lakes. Fishing, canoeing, kayaking, golfing, boating, disc golf, biking, Pelican Breeze II cruise boat and Bayside Skiers ski shows are just a few of fun things to do and see in Albert Lea.

You’ll be surprised: More than 40 city parks and the Blazing Star Trail and Myre-Big Island State Park are waiting for your pleasure and fun. The Bayside Skiers hold a show Thursday evenings at Edgewater Bay, and you won’t want to miss a cruise on the Pelican Breeze II, which departs from Frank Hall Park.

Albert Lea is home to famous musician Eddie Cochran and movie star Marion Ross. Visit the Freeborn County Historical Museum next door to the fairgrounds to see exhibits on both of these hometown stars.

Shopping enthusiasts will love our unique specialty, craft, gift and antique stores along with Albert Lea Art Center and Marion Ross Performing Arts Center all located downtown and the many shops at the Northbridge Mall.

For a unique dining experience visit our fantastic restaurants, coffee shops, clubs and cafes who are ready to serve and entertain you during your stay with us.

Local growers host a farmers market on Wednesdays and Saturdays with the best home grown produce, jellies, jams, crafts and meats.
