Remembering Corey

A large group of people listen to Larry Goodnature speak Saturday during the opening ceremonies of the sixth annual Corey Goodnatue Memorial Golf Classic at Green Lea Golf Course. Goodnature mentioned that Corey was assisting Navy SEALs when his helicopter came under heavy fire and he was killed, the same special operations unit that killed Osama Bin Laden on May 1. The American flag is raised Saturday during opening ceremonies of the Corey Goodnature Memorial Golf Classic at Green Lea Golf Course. The annual event raises money for 12 $1000 scholarships given each year to graduating seniors of Albert Lea, Alden-Conger and Glenville-Emmons high schools. -- Andrew Dyrdal/Albert Lea Tribune
