Albert Lea trucking company awarded for safety

Becker Hi-Way Frate of Albert Lea was presented a Platinum Award by Great West Casualty Co. as part of the 2010 National Safety Awards Program.

In addition to the Platinum (Carrier) Award, Great West Casualty Co. presented Individual (Driver) Safety Awards for Outstanding Achievement in Highway Safety and Loss Prevention to the drivers employed by Becker Hi-Way Frate. Awards were presented for a total of 132 years of safe driving without a preventable accident to the top tier of drivers employed by Becker Hi-Way Frate. Becker Hi- Way Frate and their drivers are multi-year recipients of the safety awards, carrier and driver awards, presented by Great West Casualty Co., having received awards throughout this decade.

The National Safety Awards program recognizes carriers in similar operations (truckload and less than truckload) with awards based on their year-end preventable accident results. Carriers are eligible to receive a platinum, gold, silver or participatory award. This past year, the National Safety Awards program drew more than 800 participants from across the country.
