ALHS drumline takes Best in Show in Medford

On June 17 the Albert Lea drumline marched in the Straight River Days Parade in Medford. The drumline was presented with the “Best in Show” award, which is the only award given as part of the parade celebration.

The drumline includes Ray Stephenson, Issac Ware and Jacob Kunkel on tenor drums; Alycia Hall, Sam Ware, Ashley Schoonover, Nick Walther and Kadie Habana on snare drums; Nick Cardona, Foster Otten, Kailie Drescher and Kelly Schroeder on cymbals; Chelsey Rynerson on gadgets; Lacey Snyder on mallets; Jason Appel, Alex Wieland, Robin Crawford, Julia Otten and Joey Henderson on bass drums; Jack Gepson and Logan How are banner carriers; Jake Ware is the stick boy; Allison Scott, Sami Koppedryer, Stephanie Koppedryer, Kaylee Peterson, Maria Silva, Meagan Wicklace, Lindsey Snyder and Sydney Hagen are flag carriers.

The drumline is directed by Peter Gepson, assisted by Mariah Howe, Ben Faugstad and Josh Etherington.

The drumline will perform today at Albert Lea’s Third of July Parade and in Austin and Blooming Prairie on July 4.
